The first week of this scholastic year was a very memorable one. We all agreed on how exciting it was to meet our new teacher, Mr Reuben Vella and the learning support educator Ms Hasna Bonello. During this first week we also got to meet all the peripatetic teachers for Art, Music, Science, P.E., P.S.C.D., Spanish and Drama. We reconnected with last year’s class mates while meeting and making new friends. We learned that our 5.1 class is sometimes referred to as year five Turtles.

This first week was jam-packed with activities. We walked for over a mile around Zabbar. Mr Zerafa, the 5.5 class teacher, led us through some rural pathways that most of us had never walked before. Little did we know that soon after this early morning stroll, we would be engaged in more physical activities and games purposefully organized by the P.E. teacher for the European School Sport Day. We really enjoyed having discussions in class, both in English and Maltese. It felt very good to voice our opinions and express our point of view on various different and interesting topics.

Having such a good start was wonderful but being told that we would be visiting the PlayCON Expo at Ta`Qali was the cherry on the cake. We all had a blast while learning about educational electronic games. We are all so looking forward to having more good times together at school.
