Our first days at school were quite hectic and fun to say the very least.

The first day was all about getting to know one another. Since we are going to spend so much time together, we decided on a set of class rules.

Friday 27^th September was European School Sports day, so we started off the day with a 20minute walk on the outskirts of Zabbar and carried on with fun games in the school yard.

During the Special Friday lesson, we spoke about being mindful and being present. It is important to focus on the tasks you are doing, otherwise you will not be able to do them properly. We played a game where we had to take some water in a spoon from one side of the yard to the other. Then, we were split up into groups and we walked around the school to get more familiar with what we can see and what we can hear in different parts. Finally we did some breathing exercises to calm down.

We also had a Drama lesson. We learned about Aesop and the fable of the fox and the stork. We enjoyed working together.

On Wednesday 3^rd October we had our first outing to Playcon expo where we learned about the educational value of games and esports.

Overall, these were a couple of delightful and engaging first days at school. We look forward to what’s coming next!
