Bears, Kindness and Nature

This month was research month for sure.  We learnt about hibernation and focused on bears… did you know that there are eight different kinds of them or that the polar bear is the largest one or that they have such a good memory that they can remember where they hid food ten years earlier?  We created a nice board with information found, used a table for creative writing, learnt about rhyming words through a book called ‘The Bear snores on’ and also helped Ms Marilyn create a unique classroom door.

One of our special assemblies was about Holocaust.  In class one of our classmates talked about his experience when he visited a museum in Poland. We decided to look into it and take action.  We prepared hearts with messages of hope and love and how kindness can change the world!

Xrobb l-Għaġin was an outing with a difference.  We spent a whole morning in the fresh open air surrounded by nature where we learnt how so many trees, animals and insects are getting destroyed due to the invasion of new buildings.  We also sowed seeds which we took back to school and hopefully they begin to sprout!
